On the Job!

Aug 10-16....What's new this week? Dixie began a series of Accupuncture treatments to see if that helps the neck and arm problem. After one treatment, the jury is still out on if it helps any. The next one is tomorrow! The weather got cold & wet (in the 40's at night) a few days last week so it stopped the harvest for a few days. By Sunday it was warm again and they were able to start harvesting the Barley on Monday. Mike got his "on the job training for truck driving" on Monday so he now has 2 days (13hrs each) under his belt. He drives a truck in the field for the combines to unload in and then takes it to a grain bin and dumps it from the truck and augers it into the bin. Of course he got to start with Barley (it's very itchy)! Hopefully there will only be a couple more days of that and then they can move onto the Wheat. The photo this week is Mike standing in the wheat (for our neighbors in Texas - Jim, this is what Montana Wheat looks like!!!)
