Snow in the mountains...taken on 3/19/12 at Desert Pools RV park
Leprechaun LEXI

Another 2 weeks at Desert Pools!

Mar 5-18...Our move to Desert Pools Rv parks was uneventful which is a good thing.
On Tue Dixie went to anther jewelry class and Mike helped Ross.
Wed. Fran's mail arrived so Dixie went to work! That took the rest of Wed and part of Thur. Friday Mike helped Ross and Doug/Fran spent the day here working and doing laundry. That evening we went with Bob and Cheryl to a Mexican restaurant in Desert Hot Springs.
On Sat. we drove into Buster and Sandy's for a late lunch. We spent a lovely afternoon visiting with then as well as Carece and her children. From there we went to Aunt Marge's. We picked up Don and headed to Spire's for a light dinner. We stayed overnight with Marge and were back home by 930a Sun.
We spent the day on Sunday doing our favorite job....TAXES...NOT!!!
Monday the 12th we helped Ross move some stuff and had lunch with him.
Tues. we played 9 holes at Hidden Springs golf course (Desert Hot Springs) with Bill/Gloria, Bob/Becky and a couple of others. It was a bit windy but fun anyway.
Wed. was a hike half way up flag mountain and some more work for Dixie.
Thur. afternoon Bob/Cheryl went with us to Palm Springs. We shopped a little, had dinner at the “Burger Bar” and walked the street fair.
Friday, more work for Dixie, Mike played water volleyball and then Danny and Lexi came over for dinner. The wind blew a lot!
It was a Happy St. Paddy's day on Sat. Bob/Cheryl went with us to the clubhouse for a wonderful dinner of Corned Beef/Cabbage and all the fixins! Afterwords we came back here and played Phase 10. The weather changed and was cool, windy and rainy.
Sunday, Dixie went to church in the park & worked on some jewelry pieces. The weather was still yucky so Mike watched some TV and was on the PC. Later we went to Bob/Cheryl's for homemade pizza and more cards! As usual, a good time was had by all. We will be gone from this park for 2 weeks so will only see them for a couple of days when we return before they head out of the area.

Dad & Elaine at
Dugen's Anniversary Dinner

George with his Margarita Machine

Sunset over Lake Havasu

Lake Havasu City Whirlwind stay!

Feb 19-Mar 4...We had a whirlwind 2 week stay in Lake Havasu. The first night we parked on the Island (Site Six) right past Dad's place. Danny and Lexi were there for the weekend. We went with them to Scotty's for chicken while Dad went fishing with a friend. Danny and Lexi left on Monday and we moved to our Coast to Coast park, Lake Havasu Resort. We stayed there for our alotted one week.
On Tuesday, Dixie made dinner and took it to Dad's place for the gang (Dugens, Van Voasts, Dad & Elaine Poppler).
On Wednesday Mike played golf with the guys while Dixie worked on Frans work. That evening we went to Elaine's for Steaks.
Thursday we stayed home.
On Friday, Doug & Fran came in and stayed at DJ's RV park for 2 nights. Jim and Diane Jenks also arrived and stayed 2 nights. We all got together on Friday for drinks and apps and Saturday night for a fish fry. Dixie and Fran worked most of the day Saturday catching up on medical billing.
Sunday we went to church at the Islander, breakfast at Ihop, the flea market and then to Elaine's for dinner.
Monday we moved to Campbell Cove RV resort where we had site 2 with a wonderful view of the lake. We could only stay for 3 nights but we liked it so much we booked for a month next year! We went to the movie, The Descendents (very sad).
On Tuesday we went to a couple of thrift stores, lunched at Schlotzsky's and drove around. Wednesday we had the 'gang' up to the motorhome for drinks and appetizers. George and Gail arrived in town and also came up. We had a wonderful time visiting! On the 1st we moved back to the Island, Site Six and dry camped for 3 nights.
Thursday evening we had pizza and snacks at Jack & Carla's.
On Friday we went to Krystals for dinner to celebrate Dugens' 60th Anniversary.
We decided to spend one extra day so we could go to George and Gail's for his famous Margaritas on Saturday.  Earlier on Saturday we ventured into Ross's grand opening with Dad. The lines were too long to purchase anything. We went to Walmart, Sally's and had lunch at Subway. After that we stopped at a car/motorcycle show. The afternoon was spent relaxing and reminiscing with Dad about Mom (one year anniversary of her passing).
Dixie had a stomach bug Sat. night/Sunday so we decided to start our drive to Calif. instead of going to church first.  We stayed at Fantasy Springs Casino on Sunday night...a bit noisy but not bad!
