On the Colordado River

Feb 28 - Mar 9.…We made the move to Emerald Cove RV Resort last Tue. It is located on the west side of the Colorado River about 6 miles from Parker, AZ. The park is actually in CA. It is quite large with over 700 sites. We have hiked, biked, walked and even took a Pickle Ball lesson. For those that don’t know what that is (as we didn’t when we first started watching it at other parks) -- it is similar to Tennis but you use a paddle that looks kinda like a ping pong paddle only larger. The court is shorter than a tennis court and you use a woofle ball that is the size of tennis ball. It was pretty fun and you definitely get some exercise. On Sunday we drove back to Lake Havasu for a gospel concert at the RV parks we have been attending church at. It was wonderful, there’s a man and women that have tremendous voices and have recorded some CD’s. After that concert we went to a Park at listened to the US Army Band perform - again many talented musicians! After all that we went back to the park and visited with family and friends. Across the road from this park is “Jackass Flats Country Club”, a golf course that is all ’dirt’ - even the ’greens’! We played it yesterday & it was quite interesting. It rained a few drops the night before and the ground was muddy in places & crusty in others. It’s rather hard to figure out what the ball will do on greens that have dirt & pebbles on them! The ball doesn’t roll quite the same as it does on grass! We will be here until Monday and then back to Lake Havasu for a week.
