On the Road Again!

Sep 11 - 17...After 2 months it is time to say goodbye to our Montana family. We left the "Big Flat" area of Montana on the 13th and spent a couple of nights at Ft. Peck Dam and a night visiting with Dixie's aunt and uncle in Baker, Mt. While at Ft. Peck we stayed at the Army Corp of Engineer "Downstream" campground which was very nice. We went to the Interpretive Center that just opened in May 05. It had several Dinosaur bones (including a full replica of a T-Rex) as well as one of the best "wildlife" displays we have every seen. They had "stuffed everything"! We didn't know Montana was so rich with Dinosaur fossils. We made it to the Black Hills on the 16th and settled into our "home" for a week at Rushmore Shadows RV resort. Today we took in the sites of Mount Rushmore, the Borglum Historical Center (he was the sculptor of Mt. Rushmore) and the National Presidents Wax Museum. All were very worthwhile - we had quite a history lesson today! More on the Black Hills to come.......the internet connection is pretty slow so no sure I will be able to get the photos on yet.
