The Harvest Spools Down

Aug 23-Sep 1...The Harvest Continues! With any luck the harvest will be completed within the next couple of days! We've made a couple of trips to Great Falls as Mom & Dad closed on their house and we have started moving a few things. Some of us are on the way again today & will spend a couple of days putting things away. Mike will stay here and continue to drive truck. Last night we celebrated our nephew, Tyler's 8th Birthday in the field when we took supper out (we even had ballons and "Sponge Bob" decorations). We were told that he was taken to the field when he was only 4 days old for the first time so I guess it's only fitting that he has his party there. We continue to see an abundance of wildlife - the other day while driving I saw 2 skunks and a badger all within about 10yrds. It was hard to figure out who the "preditor" was but I kinda think it was the badger as he was quite large. The deer and the antalope seem to be "playing & roaming" everwhere (at least until hunting season begins). We even have a couple of resident bunny rabbits around the motorhome that visit regularily. Then of course we have the cats and dogs - such is life on the farm! We plan to leave the farm and head toward the Black Hills area around the 15th of Sept. With the price of fuel our travels may get limited some! We may be staying in areas longer than originally planned. We wish everyone a very happy & safe Labor Day weekend.
