Indian Waters - Indio, CA

Mar 24 – Apr 14...We left our park around 8am. We decided to drive up the east side of the Salton Sea for a different view. We arrived at Indian Waters at 1110a to find out that were were no 50 amp sites available. We decided to go to the Lake Cahuilla county park for the night. We came back at 9am on Fri and managed to get a good site right across from the pond/office. Ross visited that afternoon and Danny came for dinner that night. Saturday we did some grocery shopping. Sunday the 27th we went to a Polo Game at Eldorado Polo Club. Tuesday the 29th we went to the Kraft Nabisco LPGA tournament for the Celebrity PRO AM. It was hot out but we had fun walking around and watching the golf. Wed
the 30th we placed 9 holes of golf with Bill at the First Tee. Thur the 30th we finished out taxes and had some friends over for Happy Hour. On the 1st we headed to Danny's about 715a. Dixie stayed with Lexi while Danny was at work and Mike went back to the LPGA golf tourney. He also did some errands for Ross (picking up pictures and delivering to pro shops). On Sunday the 3rd we met Bill & Gloria at the Polo field again for 2 games. We had a fun time! On the 6th we played golf again with Bill at the 'First Tee'. Dixie was able to find a leftly hybrid club there both times we played! Lunch at Schlotzsky's after golf along with some shopping. We celebrated our 21st Anniversary on the 7th. Stopped and did some 'thrift store' shopping and then had a wonderful dinner at the Olive Garden. On Saturday the 9th we met Danny at the Augustine Casino for their barb-b-que and to listen to a couple of country bands. We enjoyed the music and watching the line dancers. We had dinner afterwords at the El Mexicali restaurant, a locale Indio place about 30 ft from the railroad tracks. On the 12th Aunt Marge and Don came for dinner to celebrate Marge's 73rd birthday! We had a great time visiting and eating!!!! Dixie did several haircuts in the 3 weeks we've been at Indian Waters. Mike did golf stuff for Ross - Ebay and local pro shops.
Thurs the 14th – we headed to Desert Pools after a painful stop at the 'truck stop' for diesel! ($4.49 per gallon).
