More from Indiana

Jun 3 … Sun – Happy Birthday to Micheala (daughter) and Danny (brother)! It rained off and on most of the day. It was a laundry & Grocery day. Went to the driving range and hit some balls. Just another day at park! Talked to Brandon today as he leaves tomorrow for another tour in Iraq! Keep him in your prayers.
Jun 2 … Sat – Drove to Lafayette to exchange Mike’s bike (a few problems with the assembly). Picked up Dixie’s contacts and made a couple of other stops! Went to a campfire get together in the evening.
Jun 1 … Fri – Mike went jogging while Dixie went to the exercise class & the water aerobics. That’s all folks.
May 31 … Thurs – We took a drive into Lafayette today to look for a replacement bike for Mike. We found one at Walmart and without too much trouble was able to get it in the Tracker. Mike also bought a bike carrier that will fit over the spare tire and carry our bikes. We have now replaced both of them with much lighter aluminum frame bikes.
May 30 … Wed – Not much doing today so we took a long walk and then simply did stuff around the campsite.
May 29 … Tue – This morning we drove a short distance to a golf driving range located at a 9 hole par three course. We worked on our game … and boy does our game need work! Later, we went to the park pool for a dip and some sun. We got both.
May 28 … Mon – Memorial Day!! Today we offer a big THANK YOU to all men and women in uniform both past and present. We attended a small memorial ceremony here at the park where about 40 people circled the Old Glory flag pole. Several of us took the opportunity to give thanks to family and friends who are currently serving in the military or who served in the past. We paused for a moment of silence and prayer.
This afternoon, we drove a short distance to the Indiana Beach area. This is an adventure park on the lake with several rides, arcades and restaurants. Although there were quite a few people in the park, it wasn’t overly crowded for a holiday that traditionally starts summer. That evening, we joined about 10 people for a lively campfire “chat”.
