13-19...We enjoyed our stay in
Rainbow Acres. Mike Buckley and a couple (Loren & Linda) were
our lot mates! We had happy our a couple of times with them. On
Wednesday we rode with Dad and Elaine to Alcodones, Mexico. Dixie
got her teeth cleaned, we had fish/shrimp taco's, picked up some
prescription medicine, bought strawberries & asparagus, and stood
in line for 1.75 hrs to get through customs!!!!! Not sure we will go
back anytime soon. We also stopped at a roadside stand and picked up
some fresh vegtables. While in Quartzsite, Dixie shopped a lot for
jewelry making supplies. This is the place to buy rocks and
supplies! We attended a jam session and potluck on Saturday, the
18th.
We had lunch at Silly Al's one day. Dixie also bought a new chair to
use for her haircuts.....she also did 2 while we were there. On
Sunday the 19th
we headed to Lake Havasu City after a lengthy stop at the Pilot for
fuel!
Desert Hot Springs and a side Trip to Montana
Feb
1 – 13...We had a great time
at the PS Follies on the 2nd
. After the show we
had dinner and then walked through the street fair. It was our first
time to the street fair. We went to Danny's on the 4th
for dinner. Dixie decided to fly back to Montana earlier than
planned to see Levi's homecoming and senior night basketball games.
She left on the 7th
and made it with no problems. While in Great Falls for 2 days she
stayed at Doug and Frans. On the 9th
Dixie and Doug flew to the farm and returned on Sunday. She had a
wonderful time visiting and attending the ballgames. The return
flights were long – had to fly into ONT as PSP flights were full.
Mike was backed up in traffic due to an accident so it took him
almost 3.5 hrs to get from Desert Hot Springs to the Ontario airport.
While Dixie was gone Mike dined with Bob and Cheryl a couple of time
and went with them to the movie (J Edgar). We left for Quartzsite
on the 13th
after making a grocery stop at WinCo in Indio. We arrived at a
Rainbow Acres around 430p. This is a housing subdivision our all by
itself with lots that hold 2-3 rv's. We stayed at one that we found
through Bob and Cheryl.
