Ventures in & around Riverside, Ca
We detoured via airplane to Ft Braff, North Carolina to visit our Son and family for a few days. We had a great time visiting the family, especially spending time with Brandon before he departs for Afganistan in a couple of weeks. We flew back to NV to left that state on Mar 13th. We made an overnight stop at Lytle Creek, CA and continued on to our destination of Riverside to visit Dixie's Aunt & Uncle. We have parked the motorhome & are staying with Dixie's aunt in her condo on a beautiful golf course. Yesterday we they took us to Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. We took a boat ride around the Newport Habour to view all the multi-million dollar homes & yachts. We can't imagine how people can afford to live like that! Today we went to the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace in Yorba Linda, CA. There was a special exhibit - a miniture replica of the White House (it took 42 years to build it... 1in = 1ft) We really enjoyed the library and have now seen 3 of the 11 Presidental Libraries. We are currently sitting in traffic on the 91 freeway, which means we must be in California!!!
